I think my heart skipped a beat when I saw these laser-cut pendant lights by Swedish designer, Ania Pauser. They’re called “Knopp” which means flower bud. Stylized flower petals can often look like fish scales, so you know I’m thinking mermaids and jellyfish and underwater worlds. A girl can dream... Ania is also a fantastic illustrator. I have never, never seen anything like this before. Land meets sea in the most clever of ways in Petit Beasts’ Jellyfish Air Plants. Seriously, how delightful are these plants with sea urchins for planters. Creator, Cathy Van Hoang, is an art director and photographer from Long Beach, CA. I love Jonathan Adler and his brilliant home decor, gifts, and stylings. He just opened a store here in Minneapolis, and I can't wait to get the Adler experience. Anywho, Jonathan has a line of stationary and accessories at Barnes & Noble. His spring collection is all about the ocean. Perhaps we're suppose to write a "whale" of a tale in those journals... You can nab these goodies at your local B&N.

Love, love, love, these jars and mugs by UK ceramic artist, Belen Gomez titled “The Sailor’s Return” and “The Mermaid’s Rest”. Gomez is based out of Brighton, a popular seaside town I’ve imagined myself packing up and moving to. You can purchase these ceramics as well as that cat print on her website.

It's that time of year again where Starbucks pays homage to themself with their anniversary blend coffee —featuring a pretty twin-tailed siren. No new swag this year, but it's always nice to see the siren in the store again with her sea legs on display, especially now that their newest "all siren" logo damn near cuts her tails off. Now I'm craving a pumpkin spice latte...

Jonathan Adler's Utopia pottery collection has a Noah's Ark meets Russian nesting dolls vibe to it that's retro enough to be ultra modern. Best of all, there are three mermaid creations in the collection including a bucket with a mermaid on one side and a sailor on the other, a mermaid/sailor vase, and a cute (and affordable) mermaid creamer. Her tail is the handle. That Adler, he's so clever.
